About

Leo Raudys is an American artist based in Seattle, Washington, who explores themes of modern absurdity, dehumanizing technology, and space and time, through painting and printmaking. Raudys’s work interweaves elements of organic and inorganic forms, and in doing so, creates images of modern isolation in the context of the natural world, often borrowing themes from contemporary visionary fiction. For most of his career, Raudys explored these themes through relief printmaking and has transitioned to painting, where he is focusing on themes related to modern technology, the universe, and our place in it. His work is found in private and public collections in Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Los Angeles, as well as in the permanent collection of the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
